    What this policy covers

This policy covers the DreamNotes app and the website at dreamnotes.app, including the free dream interpretation form.

Your dream journal is stored on your device and in your iCloud. Dream text leaves your device only when you ask for an AI interpretation, or when you use the free dream form on this website. We do not use your dreams for advertising, and we do not use your journal to train AI models. Separately, the App Store privacy label describes analytics and related categories the app may collect. Those details are listed below.

Data the app privacy label describes

Apple’s public privacy label for DreamNotes says the developer indicated the following practices. The label says this data may be collected and is not linked to your identity. The purpose shown for it is Analytics. The label does not show a separate “Data Used to Track You” or “Data Linked to You” section.

The label lists these categories and data types:

    • Purchases: Purchase History
    • Identifiers: User ID, Device ID
    • Usage Data: Product Interaction, Advertising Data, Other Usage Data
    • Diagnostics: Crash Data, Performance Data, Other Diagnostic Data

The label also says privacy practices may vary, for example based on the features you use or your age.

“Advertising Data” in Apple’s label is a usage-analytics category. It does not mean DreamNotes sells your dreams to advertisers or shows you ads based on your journal.

The same App Store listing offers DreamNotes Plus as in-app purchases. Purchase History is one of the data types in the label above.

The label does not list dream text, journal entries, or other user content as a collected data type. In the app, your dream journal is stored on your device and synced with your iCloud when iCloud is enabled. Dream text is sent for AI analysis only when you request an interpretation. This policy does not name a provider for AI features inside the app.

The App Store version notes also describe import and export of dream entries, including backup and moving entries when you change devices. You can delete individual entries in the app. Because the journal lives on your device and in your iCloud, you can also remove local data by deleting the app, and manage or remove iCloud copies through your Apple ID iCloud settings.

Free dream interpretation on this website

The page at /free-dream-interpretation asks you to describe a dream. When you submit it, that text leaves your browser.

The page sends the dream text to a Supabase edge function named interpret-dream. That function forwards the text to Lovable’s AI gateway and returns the interpretation to your browser.

That function does not save the dream text in a DreamNotes database. It does read an IP address from forwarding headers, or a short user-agent string when no IP header is present, to limit the form to 5 requests per minute. Those rate-limit records stay in memory for about one minute and are dropped when the function restarts.

This policy does not state how long Supabase or Lovable keep copies of the text you submit. That period is not set in the website function.

The form does not ask you to create an account. The site’s Supabase client is set up to keep a session in the browser’s local storage if a session exists.

    Analytics on this website

dreamnotes.app loads Ahrefs Analytics from analytics.ahrefs.com. This policy does not list the specific fields or cookies that script sets.

    How long information is kept

Collected information is kept only as long as needed to provide the service you asked for. Stored data is protected with commercially acceptable means against loss, theft, and unauthorized access, disclosure, copying, use, or modification.

This policy does not give a fixed number of days or months. The only specific period described here is the one-minute in-memory rate limit above.

    Sharing

DreamNotes does not sell your dream journal, does not use it for advertising, and does not use your journal to train AI models. Personally identifying information is not shared publicly or with third parties, except when required by law, or when dream text must be sent for an AI interpretation you requested.

In the app, that happens only when you ask for an analysis. On this website, dream text you submit through the free form is sent to Supabase and then to Lovable’s AI gateway, as described above, so those services can produce an interpretation.

Purchase history, identifiers, usage data, and diagnostics may be collected as described in the App Store privacy label. The label does not name the provider that receives those categories.

    Links to other sites

The app and this website may link to sites we do not operate, including the App Store and Apple’s standard license terms. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their privacy practices.

    Your choices

You can decline to provide information. If you do, some features may be unavailable. The free dream form needs the dream text you type in order to return an interpretation.

To ask a question about your information, or to request access, correction, or deletion of information we hold, email dreamnotesapp@gmail.com.

    Children

DreamNotes is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information to us, email dreamnotesapp@gmail.com and we will take appropriate steps.
